Making the most out of small spaces (my favorite) because every little inch counts…When my clients moved here, they had so many beautiful things! We found a few spots for them in the garden and I am so happy that we did 💕 #landscapearchitecture
After and before of this client’s home! I wanted to get plantings more to scale with the house and soften the walkways to the front door. The granite and grey crab orchard stone organically curving down the sloped lawn really gave us the peaceful feel the client was going for. The huge oak and Japanese maple were trees we really wanted to keep and work around. Although I love a yellow house, the off white really works perfectly here 💕#landscapearchitecture

U shaped homes are my favorite! They can create natural light in almost all sides of the house and minimize summer heat. I made the most of every square inch in this client’s outdoor home with their wish list…pool, low maintenance, grand kid friendly, easy to entertain and good FLOW! I think we covered it all 😊 #landscapearchitecture
The eclipse = take your kid to work day! Luckily this client’s house is a slice of paradise and we enjoyed every minute! Especially the story book swings off this old tree 💕
And just like that, she is restored to her former glory! I took my little fam down to Belton to walk through the gardens and it made me so incredibly thankful for these clients and getting to be a part of this historic restoration. Camellias are in bloom and all is right in the world : ) one day, I’ll have more time to explain all the details! #landscapearchitecture

It’s been a crazy two months but trying to get back into the swing of things ☀️ if anyone is curious why I love artificial turf (especially after a rain like today) this picture says it ALL! Kids are already playing as soon as it quit raining ☀️
Cul-de-sacs are my favorite for families! Although they can pose parking challenges for clients who love to entertain, I designed this guest parking pad and walkway right in time for the holiday festivities🎄 🎄 🎄

Got to enjoy this space my client and I created this past weekend and it was just lovely 😊 The client's labyrinth is multi purpose.. mostly for meditation but also for outdoor entertaining! "Labyrinths can be thought of as symbolic forms of pilgrimage; people can walk the path, ascending toward salvation or enlightenment. Many people could not afford to travel to holy sites and lands, so labyrinths and prayer substituted for such travel"

Client's courtyard ready for a friendly game and a 🍸! A few after and before pictures of this recent install... This is a very shaded space and the grass never did well so we decided to switch it to artificial turf. I also designed a new front walkway and landing while saving these two awesome maples that frame the front door because really make the space magical in the Fall!

Outdoor refresh for this 100 year old home ❤️ we changed the screened porch to covered, made the brick terrace larger, refreshed side entry, plantings + driveway...connecting it all to the new garage!
These clients moved into their home last year and wanted to really make the whole yard connect and easy to entertain! I designed the brick walkway to take your eyes through the new garden into the outdoor terrace and it looks like they are enjoying it 💚 the screened porch rolls up and opens into the new grilling terrace which I am a big fan of... swipe to see a few "before pictures"
I wish I could spend my whole day here, but it was short and sweet with a furry friend always at my heels! This project was a breath of fresh mountain air and excited to start phase 2 in the Fall ♥️
It all starts with a sketch : ) This family built downtown and bought the lot next door for family gatherings, parties, and a little extra room with tight lot lines. I designed the brick wall to be the back drop / hide guest parking and the fountain to be the focal point... I am obsessed!!

Welcome to my favorite outdoor room at my client's home, the kitchen garden! Kids can do homework, art projects, picnics, endless outside fun..its such a happy space ✨ excited to see what memories they make!
Cant beat a breezeway with hanging ferns 🤩 this side yard is fenced in so all kids and pooches are accounted for!!
This was such a rewarding project!! My client grew up here and now she and her sweet family live here! We wanted to open up the front yard by removing one of the bigger magnolias & the kids would have more room to play.. the pathway going to the back yard is made up of the stone that she used for her HS senior year project! All about reduce, reuse and recycle when applicable 🤓 #nerdalert

Can you be in love with a little pedestrian gate? I CAN! Gates and fences can be unexpectedly challenging.. We wanted this to look inviting and like its always been a part of this historic home 💚
Spring is insane but all good things!! Spending the day at this amazing old home looking through the rooms, getting some final landscape details dialed in with my client who thinks about the little things just as much as I do!
Play lawn is O P E N for little peeps 🐥 I wanted the lawn to meet the terrace in multiple places for a casual and relaxed feel! I hope they have an epic Easter hunt this year 🐰 Also the Crepe Myrtle's bark adds so much texture to the space & im so glad we kept them..

💫 Make your outdoor home work for YOU! 💫 This existing home had a paver patio that my clients never used..we brainstormed on the space..#1 wish was a play lawn so we demoed the brick wall.. added back a boulder wall pushed closer to the fence line to give us as much room as possible! We also added a putting green on the other side of the screened porch.. more to show in the Spring!
After & Before of a recent install! We ripped off the existing screened porch and grill deck to add back a larger covered porch with a fireplace and small grill deck + a circular lower terrace for entertaining when kids are in the yard.. I am SO looking forward to seeing this in the Spring ☀️
Wrapping up another project before Thanksgiving over on 🌅 drive! Swipe through to see the progression of this wonderful family's home. I terraced the sloped yard for this familys' many activities...from raised planters for the green thumb, firepit terrace, playset space, and the oval lawn for the little people... this yard becomes so much more useful and easy to entertain!
